TEAM TO THE RES-CUE

MERLIN CURRIE
Merlin has enjoyed a varied professional career in the creative industries since graduating in 1980 in Theatre Design. Working for Jimmy Logan led to years of prop-making and scenery painting with the Royal Opera House, for West End, Film and TV productions and culminating in practicing as Props Consultant for Cameron Mackintosh. Returning to Scotland, Merlin's innate teaching skills and props expertise led to involvement with a wide variety of community engagement projects and utilising these years of accumulated knowledge at the Royal
Conservatoire of Scotland to inspire emerging professionals and to promote environmental consciousness, which also led to the founding of Cue Props in 2021.

RHONDA BARCLAY
Graduating with a BA in 1992 from the first class of Community Arts at Strathclyde University, Rhonda had a diverse career in community development, but due to a redundancy in her field, she decided to explore her long-standing passion for theatre. Uncovering her skills by studying Production Technology and later Technical Production Arts, Rhonda set up her own business undertaking stage management, prop and set makes and the organisation of inventories.
This led to her returning to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
to manage their props and costume stores, where her awareness of the amount of valuable pieces going to landfill initiated the establishment of Cue Props.

KIERAN MCGILL
After finishing high school, Kieran continued his education in accounting and worked in retail. In his spare time, he discovered the fun and joy of making which led him to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, graduating in Production Arts & Design in 2021.
Kieran has now worked in many different areas of the creative industries, most recently on the set of the Outlander Series, but joining Cue Props holds a special place in his heart. As an advocate of lifelong learning and self-improvement, and supporter of sustainable initiatives, he believes that Cue Props has a variety of positive impacts on the creative arts fields and the environment.
